Christiano will learn over time that animal instincts need to be contained before one appears deranged and everybody starts to go insane during significant periods of change.
In my opinion, many organizations underestimate the psychological impacts on their employees during periods of change whereby many employees, at all levels of an organization, can feel like their jobs are threatened.
It is important for organizations to manage this inherent employee animal instinct of threat arising from change accordingly as, animal instincts by their nature may result in, employees acting radically in self-defence at all costs in order to preserve their perception of the risk of loss of employment. Organizations must be transparent in their ultimate goal which generally is to boost efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and profitability as opposed to chopping heads. That is, an organization needs to sell the notion of, “Let’s work smarter as opposed to let’s work harder” to its employees.
